The Greatest Pandemic
We have all been affected to varying degrees as a result of measures taken by Government to deliver us from the serious consequences of catching COVID 19. The route out of the partial restrictions is still uncertain and is unsettling to say the least.
The Bible teaches us that the whole world has been under a different kind of pandemic since soon after the world began. The consequences are far more severe than COVID 19 and are for eternity.
Because our God is a loving and gracious God, He has provided a solution to this problem which is 100% guaranteed. This is good news indeed and is available free to us all. However, although free to us all, it cost the Son of God His life. He died on the cross at a place called calvary to pay the price of the pandemic of sin which affects us all. To enjoy deliverance from this pandemic of sin, John 3:16 provides the solution . . .
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life”
The icing on the cake, as it were, for those who trust on the Son of God, is that He subsequently rose from the dead and proof of this is found in 1 Cor 15:5 – 8. Therefore we can rejoice that our Saviour is alive and we too will be raised to life.
“even so in Christ all shall be made alive.” (v22)
